Children receive a healthy breakfast followed by a variety of games and activities. They are then delivered safely to their class ready for the start of the school day.

Lady Royd Primary is proud to be part of the Department for Education’s Free Breakfast Clubs Programme, a national initiative designed to give every child the best possible start to the school day. As part of this scheme, we offer a free, nutritious breakfast to all pupils, helping ensure they arrive in class ready to learn, focused, and energised.
The programme supports families while promoting improved attendance, punctuality, and wellbeing. By providing a welcoming space before school, our breakfast club also gives children valuable opportunities to socialise, read, and take part in calm morning activities.
